Hi, my name is Eden Bell. I am a Graphic Designer from Vancouver, Canada but recently relocated to Southampton, England. So with that in mind, I love variety and embrace change with excitement.
I am always looking to improve my skills and push myself to do my best. I think the basis for all good design is a strong concept paired with a direct solution, and of course amazing typography!

I am always looking for new and exciting projects, so if you are in need of a designer I would love
to hear from you.

MAHANA BRANDING + PACKAGING
I created a brand of flip flops called Mahana. The name means "sun" in Hawaiian. Since flip flops are usually worn at the beach, I designed the logo to emulate the waves of the ocean. To create a distinctive, affordable, and environmentally responsible package, I designed a reusable beach bag that the flip flops would come in. The transparent bag showcases the product and the screen printed sand on the bottom creates the illusion that the sandals are sticking out of the sand.

IMAGINE1DAY WEBSITE DESIGN
The client wanted to focus on usability and simplicity. I chose to use the colours from the existing logo throughout the website to maintain consistency and create a sense of hierarchy. The company is very unique in that it is a non–profit organization that exists solely on donations. By engaging the user with a visual demonstration of what imagine1day is about, the end result is a website that provides the user with an interactive way for them to get involved.

APTN KIDS LOGO
APTN (Aboriginal Peoples Television Network) went through a complete rebranding; however,
their logo stayed the same. The purpose was to create a logo for their aptn kids programming,
which had to include both an english and french version. I wanted to create a logo for the
APTN Kids programming that had a more fun, friendly look and feel, yet at the same time
incorporate elements from the existing logo so that it would still be recognizable to the brand.

SUNKIDZ LOGO + PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN
I developed a logo and created a promotional campaign for the Sunkidz Program
at Sunridge Mall in Calgary. Sunkidz is a program that encourages parents to bring
there children, aged four to seven, to the mall once a month to do arts and crafts
and spend quality family time together. Since the main focus of the program is art,
my concept played off of that. I wanted to evoke the spontaneous creativity of a child.
I accomplished this by referencing fingerprint art and made that the creative theme
throughout all the pieces.

ANTI – ANIMAL CRUELTY POSTER
My goal was to highlight the continued abuse that animals endure with maximum impact, but
without the gory details. I used the metaphor of a target to suggest brutality rather than show it.

BROCHURE SERIES FOR VANCOUVER YOUTH CLINICS
I created a series of brochures on youth clinics in Vancouver. I chose a bold iconic style to appeal
to the youthful audience. Since there are specific needs for both males and females regarding each issue, I made the brochures reversible with a male and female side.

THE ATTIC BRANDING + PACKAGING
I created a brand identity for a clothing store that puts a modern spin on vintage clothing.
I used black and white to emphasize the old while giving the package a splash of colour
with red accents. I used vintage plastic pearls for the handle of the bag, but updated them
by making them black. antique floral patterns were used throughout all of the packaging
to emulate the vintage fabric of the clothes The needle and thread motif of the logo
suggests that The Attic re–fashions vintage clothing into new, one-of-a-kind pieces.

BLENZ PAPER CUP DESIGN
I was approached by Blenz Coffee to create their new paper cup design.
They were in the process of rebranding their entire company and wanted
to link their new logo into the new cup design. The company wanted to
focus on nature and the quality of their handcrafted beverages.
My concept was to use a nature inspired motif and reference the artistic
mark that each beverage is recognized for...latte art. I created abstract leaf
patterns using latte art designs and married them together with other
graphic leaves and berries. I created the final art work by hand to capture
the handcrafted care that goes into every beverage that is put into the cup.

<img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/73313/894576/website images_blenz_packaging_905.jpg" width="905" height="598" width_o="950" height_o="628" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/73313/894576/website images_blenz_packaging_o.jpg" data-mid="5418129" border="0" align="left"/>
BLENZ COFFEE LABEL SERIES
The purpose was to create a series of coffee labels that represented the new Blenz brand.
I wanted to use a natural colour palette and still portray that handcrafted look and feel.
My concept was to create imperfect, whimsical illustrations for each blend of coffee specific
to that region. Then for something a little more interactive I created a “Light to Dark” scale
at the bottom of each bag using coffee beans. This way the customer can compare the
strength of each blend and choose the one that best suits their individual taste.
